Brantford Casinos Online, Plainly Put

What to bring

Bring government-issued photo ID in its original physical form. A picture of it on a phone does not count. Great Canadian checks ID for anyone who appears to be under 30. A second piece of ID may be requested, so it makes sense to carry two.

The age rule is 19. Under Ontario law, no one under 19 may enter or stay in a casino. Lottery tickets alone are 18+, so the 19 rule is about casinos and online casino play. The rule holds for every visitor, including someone who comes with a friend who is older.

    Getting in, step by step

    What to play first

The casino has 550+ slot machines and electronic table games. Slots take wagers from a penny up to high limits, and there are high-limit slots and table games. Electronic table games stand in a stadium-style setting. The casino describes them as table games played with the ease of a slot machine.

Live table games number 34. They include blackjack, roulette, craps, Mississippi Stud and Ruyi Baccarat. Some blackjack tables add side bets, optional extra wagers placed beside the main bet, such as Perfect Pairs and Bust It. Posted starting limits are $5 at low-limit tables, $20 at novelty pokers, $25 for blackjack and Spanish 21, and $50 for baccarat.

These minimums are set by business needs and game demand on the day, so they can change. Craps runs every day from noon to midnight. A sportsbook kiosk on the floor takes sports bets.

    How the poker room works

The poker room is on level two. Players face each other at the table, and professional dealers run the games. To get a seat, players join a list through the Poker Atlas app or by calling 519-757-3306. A listed player who does not check in within 90 minutes is removed.

Limit Hold'em runs at 4/8, 10/20 and 20/40, with a 10% rake capped at $10. Rake means the share of each pot the casino takes. No Limit, higher-limit and Omaha games carry a 10% rake capped at $15. No phone use is allowed while holding a live hand.

    Food and drinks

The Bar and Grill serves pub-style dishes such as pizzas and poutine. The Getaway serves quick bites, lunch and dinner. A Grab-and-Go counter has snacks, drinks and sandwiches made in-house. Dinner is served Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Hours for the other outlets are not published.

Non-alcoholic drinks on the gaming floor are complimentary and available 24/7, though the selection may vary. The Getaway and the Bar and Grill are 19+. Minors may not enter any restaurant on the gaming floor, even with a parent or guardian.

    Set a money limit first

The casino never closes, so the clock will not end the visit. Decide two things at home: the amount of money for the trip, and the time to leave. Write both down if that helps. Once that amount is spent, the visit is over.

A staffed PlaySmart Centre is inside the casino, phone 519-752-2950. Staff are there Sunday to Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Thursday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight. The tool below turns the amount and the hours into a pace per hour.

    Money, limits and help

    How fast is my limit?

Divide the money for the night by the hours you plan to stay: that is the most to spend in any one hour. When it is gone, the visit is over.

    The casino since 1999

The casino opened in 1999 as Brantford Charity Casino. Later it ran as OLG Casino Brantford. On May 1, 2018, it was renamed Elements Casino Brantford, when Great Canadian and Clairvest completed their purchase of the West GTA gaming bundle.

Great Canadian Entertainment runs the casino, and the venue's own page sits on greatcanadian.com. In Ontario, OLG conducts and manages all casino gaming. Private service providers such as Great Canadian run the casinos day to day. The AGCO regulates those providers.

    Online play in Ontario

Ontario's regulated online gambling market opened on April 4, 2022. iGaming Ontario conducts and manages it, and the AGCO regulates it. A private online casino is legal only with AGCO registration and an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario. OLG.ca is the online casino of OLG, the provincial agency. Online play is for people 19 or older, and only while they are physically in Ontario.

BetGuard, at betguard.ca, lets a person exclude themselves from every regulated Ontario online gambling site, OLG.ca included. It does not cover land-based casinos. The paid links on this guide, marked Ad, lead to a private online casino partner for adults in Ontario. That partner is not OLG.ca, and it pays the guide a commission.
